Man threatening to kill police surrenders
Albuquerque police responded to a call at 300 Girard Boulevard S.E. on Wednesday afternoon, where a man inside a house claimed to have a gun and wanted to kill police and hurt someone.
The call was made around 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Police created a perimeter from Silver Avenue S.E. to Lead Avenue S.E. along Girard.
The streets were closed off nearly four hours before the man voluntarily exited the residence.
The man was taken into custody without incident. His identity has not yet been released.
